Stanfold is a town in Barron County in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. The population was 669 at the 2000 census.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 36.0 square miles (93.1 km²), of which, 35.9 square miles (93.0 km²) of it is land and 0.1 square miles (0.1 km²) of it (0.14%) is water.
As of the census[2] of 2000, there were 669 people, 249 households, and 194 families residing in the town. The population density was 18.6 people per square mile (7.2/km²). There were 258 housing units at an average density of 7.2 per square mile (2.8/km²). The racial makeup of the town was 98.21% White, 0.15% Native American, 0.90% Asian, and 0.75% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 2.09% of the population.
There were 249 households out of which 32.5% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 67.9% were married couples living together, 6.8% had a female householder with no husband present, and 21.7% were non-families. 17.3% of all households were made up of individuals and 8.4% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.67 and the average family size was 2.99.
In the town the population was spread out with 27.4% under the age of 18, 4.6% from 18 to 24, 30.0% from 25 to 44, 21.2% from 45 to 64, and 16.7% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 38 years. For every 100 females there were 100.3 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 102.5 males.
